FAQ
What is Mr. Pams Universal and how does it work?
Mr. Pams Universal is a Swiss-made cleaning concentrate. One 17 oz bottle dilutes 10:1 with tap water to make ten ready-to-use spray bottles. It is plant-based, biodegradable, and requires no rinsing. The original formula has not changed since Geneva, 1973.
Why does one bottle make ten?
The bottle ships at 100% concentrate. The recommended dosage is 10% concentrate to 90% water. One 17 oz concentrate fills ten 17 oz spray bottles. That works out to roughly $3.70 per finished bottle of cleaner, well below most retail eco brands.
Can we use Mr. Pams Universal on wood or any other surface ?
Absolutely, either directly and then wipe with an always dry cloth. Or indirectly by wetting the cloth and frequently changing the side of the cloth. It’s the most versatile product in the world, the result of 50 years of experience. It can be used on any surface that can come into contact with water — from the most delicate to the most durable.
Can we use Mr. Pams Universal before vacuuming ?
Yes, it is even recommended for two reasons. The first is the freshness that the product leaves on the carpet or rug. The second, the product will crystallize the dirt, and make it easier to vacuum. Therefore, you will have a deep cleaning of your carpets when you let the product work and finish with the vacuum once the surface has become dry.
Can Mr. Pams Universal be used in all professional fields, schools, administrations, hospitals ?
Indeed, they are particularly suitable when there are large varieties of materials. They are quickly understood and accepted by the cleaning teams who save a tremendous amount of time and effort.
Does Mr. Pams require effort to clean?
Minimal or no effort is required to clean with Mr. Pams’ products. The example of Mr. Pams Universal encapsulates the response well, as cleaning with this product involves merely two steps: Spray and Wipe, that’s all.
How long does one bottle last for an average household?
Most households report six to twelve months of regular cleaning from a single 17 oz concentrate bottle. Because one bottle makes ten ready-to-use sprays, the cost-per-clean stays well below most retail brands.
Do the product alter the surfaces or their appearance ?
Mr Pams Universal does not alter the original appearance of the cleaned surfaces. With Mr. Pams, a shiny surface stays shiny, and a matte surface stays matte.
Is your product biodegradable and safe ?
Absolutely, Mr. Pams Universal product is biodegradable. It’s a plant-based product with no toxicity classification, and it can be used safely when following the recommendations provided on the bottle label. This product contains no ammonia, no bleach, and no 2-butoxyethanol. It is free from dangerous substances
Is Mr. Pams Universal hazardous to pets ?
Absolutely not, it can be employed without any risk, while adhering to the recommended dosage on our website or on the label of the concentrated bottle.
Is Mr. Pams Universal dangerous for children ?
It is absolutely not dangerous and can be used with complete safety. As a general rule, the principle of precaution should be applied, which a child does not know how to use, and must follow the instructions of their parents who have read the label of the concentrated bottle.
About us
Founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1973, Maison PAM'S has spent over 50 years perfecting a single, plant-based cleaning formula. What started in Swiss childcare centers, where safety was non-negotiable, grew into the trusted choice of some of the world's most demanding clients, including Rolex, Chopard, and Breguet.
The signature product, PAM'S UNIVERSAL, is a concentrated, plant-based formula unchanged since its creation. One bottle makes 10 ready-to-use spray bottles. It cleans, degreases, and removes stains from virtually any surface (glass, stainless steel, wood, fabric) without rinsing, without streaks, and without compromising safety for children or pets.
Now, for the first time, this Swiss-engineered cleaner is available in America.
